	3/9/2009	The Vision Statement included in the current draft is an awkward sounding attempt to define CR in the present tense, not a forward thinking projection of what we wish and intend to be in the future. Perhaps for the time being, this section should be left blank, or "pending" or perhaps just deleted. Only after some thoughtful deliberation that balances optimism with realism will we be able to produce a meaningful statement of our institutional vision of the future. If there is time, let's do it. If not, let's at least avoid sounding like we don't understand what a vision statement should be.
