Education Master Plan:
The college’s district wide Education Master Plan was developed by a constituency-based committee in 2009, to plan educational programs and services to support the college’s mission, and accomplish the strategic plan. The committee conducted an environmental scan, reviewing both external and internal data, and analyzed the college’s internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and challenges. As the education master plan committee conducted its analysis and reflected on the goals in the college’s strategic plan, some specific initiatives were identified related to the Strategic Plan.

Center/Site/Campus Planning:
District wide Strategic and Education master plans are intended to be regularly reviewed and updated. These planning documents are intended to be living documents that mutually inform functional plans (e.g. facilities, technology, financial) and unit-level plans e.g. specific programs or services). As part of the college’s efforts to implement the district wide education master plan, the college has determined a need to develop plans for individual service areas within the district (e.g. Mendocino Coast, Del Norte, Klamath-Trinity, Eureka/101 Corridor, Southern Humboldt, and virtual campus). Education master plan ‘chapters’ or ‘supplements’ have been developed for the Mendocino Coast and the Del Norte Education Centers; plans for the remaining service areas are being developed simultaneously so they can comprehensively inform further budget and planning work at the college.
